We are pleased to announce that, after the long wait caused by the pandemic, the “2023 16th Seiji Nishimura Matsuri Open Karate Do Tournament” will again be held this year. We would like to express our deep gratitude to everyone for their tremendous cooperation, which made it possible to hold the "Matsuri" this year. The purpose of this tournament is to train young people physically and mentally through karate, promote mutual friendship and exchanges between karate enthusiast from abroad and Japan, and aim for a sound and smooth development of today’s generation that will lead the future.
Also, the reason why we call it a "Matsuri” (Festival) is because we plan to bring joy to participating players and parents. I hope that I could help our young athletes improve their skills through high level competitions such as this.
